These new stabilizers come in three categories 

Tear Aways

Cotton Soft

Madeira Cotton Soft Stabiliser is an excelllent all-purpose stabiliser, soft and gentle to the touch, yet strong and rigid enough for hooping and stitching. It will not stretch or distort stitches and tears away with the greatest of ease leaving a super-clean edge. The natural cotton fibres make it environmentally friendly and extremely good for baby and children's clothes, heirloom sewing, quilting and paper-piecing.

Cotton Soft Black

The same as standard Cotton Soft, but black in colour.

Cotton Stable

adeira Cotton Stable Stabiliser has a coating on one side that develops an adhesive effect when subjected to heat. Iron in pace wherever a soft stabiliser might be used, stitch and carefully tear away excess backing close to stitching. Eliminates shifting, sliding, puckering and stretching of material. The iron on coating produces only a weak adhesive effect allowing the removal of Cotton Stable without residue.

Cotton Fix

Madeira Cotton Fix Stabiliser his ideal for hooped computerised machine embroidery. Avoids hoop marks on delicate and sensitive fabrics, such as velvet, suede and silk. Simply hoop Cotton Fix paper side up, score and remove release paper to expose adhesive. Finger press fabric to the Cotton Fix and put the hoop on your machine for embroidery. Excellent for patchwork as small items can be embroidered without basting them to the stabiliser.

Avalon Film

Madeira Avalon Film can easily be hooped for decorative stitching on towels, knit or sweater fabric to prevent stitches from sinking and disappearing into fabric nap. Use under or over fabric to support open stitches, cut work or button holes. Stretchable and delicate fabrics will no longer loose their shpae as you sew or embroider on them.

Avalon Ultra

Madeira Avalon Ultra is ideal for hoopless embroidery or any project where added support or firmer working foundation is necessary. Can be stitched intensely without tearing.

Avalon Plus

Madeira Avalon Plus is a firm wash-away stabiliser with the strength of a non-woven fabric. Dissolves in warm water with no residue, placing no stress on your beautiful embroidery. Can be embroidered intensely without tearing, perfect for machine embroidery, cut-work, lace making and applique on delicate fabrics.

Avalon Fix

Madeira Avalon Fix is soft and stable, with the added bonus of a paper-backed adhesive. Avoids hoop marks on washable fabric, ideal for projects too small or odd sized to hoop. Hoop stabiliser, reveal sticky surface, align fabric and finger press in place. Washes out with luke warm water. Extremely suitable for all creative techniques in freehand machine embroidery, such as textile surface design.

Cut Aways

Super Strong

Madeira Super Strong provides great permanent stability to stitch computerised embroidery designs, appliques and monograms on ouuterwear like jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts.

Super Strong Black

The same as standard Super Strong, but black in colour.

Super Stable

Super Stable is great for machine embroidery and applique as it remain on the fabric to keep it stable during and after embroidery. Iron in place wherever a permanent stabliser might be used, stitch and carefully cut away excess backing close to stitching.

Super Film

Special heat dissolvable clear and perforated stabilizing film. Dissolves when subjected to heat and allows embroidery work to be carried out on extremely fine fabrics, stretch fabrics and on normal cotton fabrics. Super Film is also especially suitable for the embroidery of emblems or logos without fabric.
